| Usage | Indicated for allergic conjunctivitis, acne rosacea, superficial punctate keratitis, herpes zoster keratitis, iritis, cyclitis, some infective conjunctivitis when benefits outweigh risks. Chemical, radiation, thermal and penetrating cornea injury. |
| Poor penetration compared to suspension so generally used for surface inflammation. | |
| Contraindications | Acute superficial herpes simplex keratitis, fungal keratitis; acute infectious stages of vaccinia, varicella and most other viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva. Tuberculosis of the eye. Hypersensitivity to any component. |
