| Contraindications | Narrow angle glaucoma. 10% phenylephrine is contraindicated in patients with hypertension, or thyrotoxicosis. 2.5% may be used with caution for these patients. |

| Warnings | Use caution where retinal vasculature is compromised. Systemic absorption can increase blood pressure and heart rate. |
